Basionym: Microsporum guizhouense Zhang, Zou, Han & Liang—Mycosystema 36(5): 537, 2017. Holotype: EB2001M; ex-type culture: GZUIFR-EB2001M isolated from tobacco farmland soil by YR Wang in 2012, China.
